Memphis Library

Amigo power operated vehicles can be found any place someone may need walking assistance: grocery and retail stores, museums, hospitals, and even libraries. Recently, the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library in Memphis, Tenn. received two Amigo POVs  to assist library patrons on their search for the perfect book. Along with safety features such as a rear safety bumper and electromagnetic brake, each Amigo is equipped with the SmartSensor anti-impact system. The SmartSensor detects objects up to 30 inches ahead and gently slows down the Amigo when an object nears the sensor.

Response has been extremely positive with the availability of the Amigo RDs. "I was able to explore and enjoy the library with much greater ease," expresses Robert, a frequent patron of the library. "Thank you so much!"

With 330,000 square feet of space among 5 floors, I'm sure the Amigos will be used constantly!
