Professors Create Souped-Up Toy Cars for Kids with Disabilities

Two professors from the University of Delaware bought battery-powered Jeeps and Barbie cars from a toy store to make mobility and socializing safer and easier for children with disabilities under the age of three.

With there being no similar product on the market, these professors are not only creating the first toys of this kind, they are also providing videos to parents so they can modify their own battery-powered car for their child.

With these adaptive toys, children with disabilities are able to safely keep up with their friends, or even lead the pack.
