Help these Amigo owners win an accessible van!

The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) is a non-profit association that finds ways to improve mobility and transportation in the lives of people with disabilities. NMEDA is celebrating the fourth annual National Mobility Awareness Month. For the past three years they have partnered up with other companies to give away a specialized, custom-made van for three lucky winners.

In 2012, The Davert family from Bay City, MI won a custom van, changing their lives for the better. This year, two Amigo owners from Michigan are in the running to win an accessible van from NMEDA. Their names are Rose Washburn from Mt. Morris, MI and Joyce Potter from Bay City, MI. Each contestant would make great use of this specialized van and we wish the best for them going forward in this contest!

You can read about their inspirational stories and vote for them now until May 31st at the following links:

Team Amigo Walks to End MS

Each year, Team Amigo participates in the local Walk MS event to support people with MS. For the 2015 MS Walk in Frankenmuth, Michigan Amigo Mobility had 18 employees and their families participate. Even though the forecast called for rain, our team braved the weather, raised more than $2,000 for the MS Society and had a great time!

Fundraisers at Amigo included jean days, a Cinco de Mayo party, and prize raffles. Employees also made personal contributions and fundraised through friends and family. Team Amigo had a fun-filled week leading up to the MS walk, including prize raffles and a Cinco de Mayo themed luncheon. We are so appreciative of the time, effort, and monetary contributions of our associates to this great cause.

Thanks to all those who participated in the MS Walk and we look forward to supporting the event again next year!
