DNR offering Fireworks-Free camping options across Michigan

With Fourth of July weekend quickly approaching, the Michigan Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is offering FIREWORKS-FREE camping options for veterans and other visitors. For the second year in a row, the DNR and Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency have collaborated for the event.

“We are pleased to help honor our veterans by offering alternative camping options in several of our beautiful state parks,” said DNR Parks and Recreation Division Chief Ron Olson. "This is an alternative for anyone seeking a quieter Fourth of July celebration." 11 state parks located in 10 different counties will be hosting this event.
